What is your opinion about belly dance?
Has an ancient tradition become too boring and old fashioned to compete with the spread eagle exposure of modern fitness?

By the way, Belly Dance is not a sport. It is an art.

Hi,

I'd love to try it, but I would need a class that starts at 7pm or later because I commute to Denver for work and I don't usually get back to town on the bus before about 6:30.

I've been looking for a belly dance class in Boulder actually - I'd love to do it! Let me know if you get a group together or I'll come sometime when I get back from vacation. I've done it a couple of times in the past & it's so much fun - ladies just get together and have fun with it! Thanks for suggesting!!

Perhaps the one's that shy away are turned off by perception of the objectification of women in the dance.

And It's not a sport, as your pictures show. Although it burns calories in a fun way, it tends to lead to performances.

Now, pole dancing is a South Parkification of culture.
