no sleep...just coffee

---THAT was a long time ago. oddly, i am still having fun....
still rehearsing:
opening
radar - britney spears
great song great video. very cute....radar rhymse with later and gator now. wtg, brits....
beastie boys - hello nasty infomercial
so funny.

sasha grey fucks robots
this is true. i think the effect of sasha's screaming orgasm behind the juice ladies and their mock commercial...ha ha ha...'art of montage' she says: it's done.

i'm chatting with wee emma in the store and i look at the sundance film fest rag-- sasha's 'the girlfriend' bla whatever movie is rightr there -- on 9/11 of this year.

if i hadn't discovered what she was doing i might have missed it. but that's the power of coincidence.
outro -- toxic - britney spears

i like the way that britney steals.

roses - meg and dia

why are some girls so naive?
-- meg and dia

today i first decided -- while i am slowly, torturously learning to hack video -- to listen to Paul's Boutique in its entirety. that was a few second ago...then i decided to listen to Check Your Head, instead...
The Beastie Boys went through an evolution while they were growing stronger as musicians, artists, poets and performers...

It shows in the massive lyrical difference between Licensed To Ill and Check You Head....

one notices that in the interim -- actually it shows in Paul's Boutique -- immature but groovy and hard with many nods to old-scholl R&B that they wanted to be taken seriously as poets and rappers and auteurs in the ardscrabble and deadly competitive New York rap scenes. Which they did without question -- Vanilla Ice is almost as hated as Hitler, and 3rd Bass appeared and disappeared...

I think about it and decide to throw some 3rd bass and Quarasihi into the mix, just to show how influential the B-Boys became -- all by staying true to who and what they wanted to be. in a world where punk is dead -- integrity and an anarchistic approach surviving and thriving mean EVERYTHING -- compared to the loser gheeks and lame-ass imitation diet-punk poseurs of today...My Chemical Romance couldn't scare me if they TRIED. (they did, right?)

Someone went to a lot of trouble to break Check Your Head down into a format where it could be listened to a little at a time...it's dramatic, with subtitles...\\

MTV2...

I can remember a time when MTV2 gave me a small hope that what I had dug originally about MTV -- when I first tuned in when I was ten years old -- wasn't dead.

But capitalism, corporate mentality and fascism...those are all a dead end. Great video though and you have to have figured out what's coming next if you've been following the chain of thought...

i threw the beasties/bjork mashup by "Mr. Tortazo" because that's the spirit of it...he did what he felt like fucking doing and the result is awesome. if anything could "ad" to one of the B-boys' biggest hits, it's the great singing and rather ultimate cuteness of the most famous Icelandic siren.

I also love the remix of pass the mic --
it is included in this playlist...

i wanna see how Steppin' to The Am by 3rd Bass holds up in my memories to the beasties...it's not a competition by any stretch...
if i'm dissing anyone, or anything...
i'm dissing MTV...

fuck those empty corporate shits...

MTV gave me a fucking commerical because they are made of shit...

i won't be tricked into hating beautiful "Beyon-say" because of the corporate stupidity of MTV...

http://www.mtv.com/videos/3rd-bass/219111/steppin-to-the-am.jhtml#artist=1354

i was almost tired of it as soon as i started listening.

it was all right rhyming in 1987...
i think DU grabbed that definitely funky rhythm line a little later.
and then i remember that they sample the samplers...
that can be done...
and 'a Silverdome microphone' that's alright...

the B-boys definitely gave up props to original Black music...and maybe that is why they were able to hold on, while 3rd Bass were forgotten about, almost before anyone heard of them.

Yeah, i definitely need to wash my mind out with Quarashi after that.

hearing 3rd Bass sample MCA just made me wish I was listening to the Beastie Boys again. And for that matter, I bet some people thought that back in the Eighties. I think I probably had that thought at least one time, in the middle of the night, when 120 Minutes was basically IT as far as alternatives to mainstream stupidity went. I laugh at the geek poseurs with a lotta clothes, bullshit and no political conscience that masquerade as the people on the streets in the seventies, eighties and nineties. they are a bunch of fucking CRABS, as in Hermit -- as in they stole somebody else's look and have nothing on the inside like them.

those geeks will get stomped real fucking hard in the 21st c. and they have it coming. Poseurs...

the idea so far is to raise awareness.

"Raise awareness" is an excuse that a lot of basically dumb guttergeeks use to describe why they go to rptests to get their faces beaten in, sprayed, kicked...basiclaly the excuse that the smartest of them (not that smart, but good with lip flap) is that they did it "to raise awareness".

i know that often they are sincere. But awareness of police brutality has been with Americans since the civil rights movement of the 1960s.

more often it is people who don't know what to do and so they robotically do what has been done before.

why does it piss me off? at least ONE dead girl who was my friend. she went to the wall, she immoolated herself like a monk to draw attention to =, oh, the New World Order, global domination, tyranny -- utter absurdity of marrijuana state controls...she protested andprotested independently - independently! and when she got disgusted she immolated herself on the Penn campus, in front of that giant Peqace symbol..

Kathy Change (1950 - 22 October 1996) was a West Philadelphia performance artist and political activist who killed herself in an act of self-immolation on the University of Pennsylvania campus in 1996. Born Kathleen Chang, she legally changed her name to Kathy Change to indicate her commitment to political and social change. She was the daughter of Chinese academics who emigrated to America in the wake of the Chinese Revolution.

--

yeqah, my good friend. i understand where she was coming from -- the deathlessness of soul and the immorality of failing to stand against Governmental EVIL were her goals and motivators.

so anyway:

yOU OR SOMEONE LIKE YOU
(short version)

score:
fugees - ready or not
eve - love is blind
paper planes - MIA
(that's right, I'm Bumping Britney. It's not her fault, but she's so cute and innofensive...i don't want people to lose interest in the story.

paper Planes really tells the story the way it needs to be told. it's coming along...
pink - so what
ministry - so what
pink - you make me sick
egypt central - you make me sick
nitzer ebb - headhunter
cibo matto - sci fi wasabi
(i have to find a way to spin this live on line...i have to find one single way to link up the videos and songs to one screen, so that people can tune in and watch and listen to me spin and even make mistakes...that'll be a while...)
headhunter - nitzer ebb
beastieboys - bjork - army of me
The film is called "you or someone like you."
premise: riots are happening in an american city, and some punks have declared war on the government. but they get their asses handed to them in the street.

meanwhile, pink, eve, and myself are robbing the buildings. outside the punk geeks are getting served in the face with iot shields from the elite cops of america, who showed up in the town just to participatre in the event.

but the real anarchists are inside the buildings, working independently and as a group to steal LARGE amounts of money fromthe Bilderberger and Rockefeller families. They escape successfully while the street punks are getting served.

later at our hideout, eve is paranoid because the most powerful crime families ioin the world want us DEAD and will not admit that any crimes took place. she and i spar wu-shu style while bjork and the beastie boys watch from the observation window.

he said that if he found me playing guitar in the same place
one more time
he was just gonna break my equipment. he wasn't gonna ticket me.

like a cop is for, writing tickets.

where i live
keeping the Indians down is a day to day thing. social workers do it in institutional ways, and That's What's Wrong With America....no one gets real freedom if the natives don't get the right to camp where they want, worship as they will...

this particular cop really informed me that he would BREAK my che4ap guitar and amp if he caught me in the same place.

i meet a lot of Nazis in Boulder (Calumet from Red Dawn based on the People's republic of Boulder -- and NO I didn't come up with that. I'm a Philly boy),

a lot of Nazis,
a lot of Klan members.

Neither sort really want a free America.

630 KHOW

Today is the day that a more HUGE, GIANT YAWNING CAVERNOUS MORON than Glen Beck coeverd for Glen Beck.
These republicans are liars, but they are weak, lazy liars...lies are all they have anymore.

there is little salient resistance aside from the secret heroes of journalism, Janeane Garafalo and Al Franken, Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart...they are the basic only intelleget alternatives to fascist mouthpieces Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck...

IT'S 11:06 AM AND
i am about to hear "the fusion of entertainment and enlightenment." I've been listinging to Chris Baker! That's his name.

What seasoned arrogance! I listend to Peter Boyle lying like a skilled hypocrite all morning and now I get to listen to this slick tongued LIAR telling lies via omission.

They are so weak.

that's...why they turn to lies!

also I have had the same cookie in my pocket since friday. It's a chocolate cookie with white chocolate chips -- i carried it all weekend. I almost trashed it on saturday when ther was snow everwhere..."this is a f*cking buffalo chip," i said to myself and almsost tosed it. But now it is going well with whatever sort of coffee Carriage is running today.

every day a celebration,
every night a feast!
